1. Who We Are

Credit Card Cafe is a credit card research and comparison platform built and operated by Ben Keil. Our goal is to help you understand and maximize your credit card rewards — nothing more.

2. What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information — your email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
  • Profile data — credit score range, financial goals, and spending preferences you enter during onboarding or in your profile. This is used solely to personalize recommendations.
  • Wallet & tracking data — the cards and banks you add to your dashboard.
  • Usage data — basic analytics such as pages visited and features used, to help us improve the product.

We do not collect your actual credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or any financial transaction data.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To operate your account and save your preferences across sessions.
  • To personalize card recommendations and your rewards dashboard.
  • To send transactional emails (password resets, account notices). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
  • To understand how users interact with the platform so we can improve it.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

4. Third-Party Services

Credit Card Cafe uses the following third-party infrastructure:

  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and wallet data are stored on Supabase servers. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II compliant.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider. Vercel may log request metadata (IP address, user agent) for security and performance purposes.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these services beyond our configuration of them. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your preferences (such as dark mode). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You may also update your profile data directly from your account settings.
