Credit Card Cafe is a small, independent platform — and we think that's an advantage when it comes to sustainability. We don't have sprawling server farms or bloated infrastructure to maintain. We've made deliberate choices to keep our footprint minimal from the start.
Green Hosting
We host on Vercel, which runs on cloud infrastructure with a commitment to renewable energy usage. Our database and authentication run on Supabase, which also operates on cloud providers pursuing carbon neutrality goals. We've chosen these platforms not just for their developer experience, but because they are meaningfully investing in cleaner infrastructure.
Efficient by Design
A fast, lightweight website is a sustainable website. We obsess over performance — smaller bundles, fewer requests, server-side rendering where it counts. Less compute time means less energy consumed per visit. This aligns with our goal of building a platform that is genuinely useful, not one that throws resources at problems.
Paperless by Nature
The whole premise of Credit Card Cafe is replacing the spreadsheets, printouts, and scattered notes people use to track their credit cards. Every wallet we power digitally is one fewer paper system. Helping people make smarter financial decisions without paper waste is baked into what we do.
Honest About Our Limits
We're a small operation, not a corporation with a sustainability department. We don't have carbon offset programs or third-party audits — yet. What we do have is a genuine commitment to making thoughtful choices as we grow: choosing responsible vendors, keeping the platform lean, and being transparent about where we are and where we want to go.
As Credit Card Cafe scales, sustainability will remain a factor in every infrastructure and tooling decision we make.
